Oh the demons I shall battle, shall mostly be all my own. Another course be charted for me, May horizons ever grow. So much for the straight and narrow! I spit on diaphanous lies. 'Cause the second chances never come, Let me feel a tad more alive... Ceaseless line, Of prodded cattle. Endless prattle, There's a cage to rattle! Let's, Let's Let's Let's not be heroes!! Let's, Let's Let's Let's not be heroes!! Now this old dream's dissolving, Why torture myself with false hope? I pity the fools who desire my help, Is what I need wider scope? Where's the fun in dictatorship, if everyone's happy about it? the falsehood of prosperity, my shadow's extensive and thick. My nail's grip on reality, Ripped from the bed of humanity! Let's, Let's Let's Let's not be heroes!! Let's, Let's Let's Let's not be heroes!! There will be no statue of me, In every quaint hamlet or square. I see it right now- clear as can be, a carved and vainglorious stare. How I tire of celebration, and garish displays of their love. Not my public raison d'être, I'm evil when push comes to shove. Ceaseless line, Of prodded cattle. Endless prattle, There's a cage to rattle! Let's, Let's Let's Let's not be heroes!! Let's, Let's Let's Let's not be heroes!! 'Cause this world won't repay in kind. This world won't repay in kind.... This world won't repay in kind. This... world won't repay in... kind!!

Hole in the Ground Walking home through the street, We met this hole in the ground. It was deep, and jagged, so black, and ragged, Swallowing all our sound. It looked so out of place, too deep to even be true. It was there, the glare The empty stare, Stayed as we withdrew. Three boys afoot, in this shadowy town, Craved comfort of the home. Without knowing or scheming, That we were just leaving, The black hole all alone. Strange feature deep, Darkling, black You gave us three Mild heart attacks Till you are filled, With Medway's spill, Through solemn tears, We'll look back. Hellish calls, graffiti’d walls And our heartstrings tensile. The Summer’s gone, the journey’s long Light beckons with a smile. The sky alive as a great coal fire Overcast slate and flame, Is Love in vain all that's ordained? High embers lit our way. Strange feature deep, Darkling, black You gave us three Mild heart attacks Till you are filled, With Medway's spill, Through solemn tears, We'll look back. Strange feature deep, Darkling, black You gave us three Mild heart attacks Till you are filled, With Medway's spill, Through solemn tears, We'll look back.

about

'Hole in the Ground' is Unknown Report's second EP. An exuberant but maturer and pensive romp, that stands as a great evolution to their previous outing 'Forbidden Dreams'.
An even darker atmospheric pervades 'Hole in the Ground', and is complimented by wide ranging vocals, harmonies, and fundamentally driven by a distinctive rhythmic core.
Themes focused on include alienation, the shameless joys of the simple meeting, sexual tension, and social disjointedness.

Let this EP make you want to dance as well as think, as Unknown Report's genre-bending rampage moves ever forward.
